After being speculated as a possible signing for FC Porto, Lucas Silva has had his future set, at least for short term. Lucas Silva is on the verge of completing his move to Sporting, and must close the deal in the coming days. It remains to be seen if the agreement between the clubs would include a purchase option. According to Portuguese newspaper A BOLA, the player is already in Lisbon to undergo medical examinations and sign his contract with Sporting. The 23-year-old had also received offers from teams in Spain, Germany, Russia and Brazil. Lucas Silva, who won the Brazilian Championship twice with Cruzeiro, joined Real Madrid at the start of last year, but played just nine games for the Spanish side. He was then loaned out to Olympique Marseille, but failed to establish himself in the French club.
