Brazilian right-back Bruno Peres is beginning to attract the interest of top European clubs after having an excellent season with Torino in Italy.
According to Spanish newspaper SPORT, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has requested information about the 26-year-old Brazilian, who’s also wanted by other clubs. The publication adds that Guardiola wants to reformulate the Manchester City squad, so he would be monitoring the situation of many players. After signing İlkay Gündoğan and the imminent arrival of Nolito, the idea would be to bring in two wing-backs, two defenders, a goalkeeper, a center-forward and another midfielder.
The initial plan of Guardiola was to sign Šime Vrsaljko, but Atlético Madrid acted faster and ensured the arrival of the Croatian. Thus, Bruno Peres has become an alternative for the full-back position, with Pablo Zabaleta close to leaving. Bruno Peres fits into Guardiola’s style, but there’s competition for Manchester City from other Italian teams. AS Roma and Inter Milan have apparently launched offers for the former Santos man, and the fee is believed to be in the region of €12 million. Another Premier League side, Watford, are also making a strong attempt to lure Bruno Peres from Torino.
