Although the priority at the moment is to ensure the permanence of defender Maicon, São Paulo continues to monitor the situation of other players in the market.
And one of them is Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, who spent two years on loan at São Paulo and still continues to have an indefinite future. In an interview with Rádio Jovem Pan, club vice president José Alexandre Medicis da Silveira said they still dreams about the return of Pato who has a contract with Corinthians until the end of this year. For now, São Paulo are only observing how his future would unfold. As Corinthians do not have any interest in his stay, they"re trying to negotiate the player with clubs in Europe.
José said: “I think Pato is a great player. We still have a dream of being with Pato. I think so [he can return to play at São Paulo]. It depends on him having a proposal from Europe or not. His contract with Corinthians expires at the end of the year, then there is a chance of Pato coming back. He was very well received by the club and he liked the club as well."
