Chelsea winger Willian is set to put pen to paper on a new four year deal at Chelsea, despite reported interest from his old boss Jose Mourinho, who has taken over at Manchester United. The Brazilian has also attracted interest from China, but looks set to agree a new deal to stay in West London.
Willian has two years to run on his current contract and the Blues are keen to tie down their players’ player and fans player of the season from last year. United were rumoured to be willing to go as high as £60m for Willian, but Chelsea have made it clear that they will not countenance selling a key player to a rival.
Willian featured in Brazil’s disappointing Copa America campaign this summer, starting all three group stage matches before the team were eliminated. He is currently on holiday but his representatives have been putting the finishing touches to a new deal.
