The Brazilian Football Confederation [CBF] officially announced on Monday that they"ve appointed Tite as the new coach of the national team.
Tite, who won the Brazilian Championship with Corinthians last year, had accepted an invitation from CBF president Marco Polo Del Nero last week, but signed his contract only on Monday. Talks between leaders of the CBF and representatives of Tite began last Tuesday, and continued until Friday. Salaries and other details of Tite with CBF were defined at the end of Friday, but bureaucratic issues postponed the official announcement to Monday. Besides Tite, his assistant Cléber Xavier and new supervisor of the national team, Edu Gaspar, will have fixed contracts with CBF. Tite"s son Matheus Bacchi will also work with his father in the national team. The first two games of Tite will take place in September, in the World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Colombia, in Quito and Manaus, respectively. Rogério Micale will lead the team during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
