Barcelona"s Brazilian right-back Douglas, who was linked with Sevilla, could be on his way to Cruzeiro.
The board of Cruzeiro have already reached an agreement with Barcelona, as reported by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo on Sunday. According to the information from UOL Esporte, Douglas is the one who makes a return to Brazil complicated. To return to his home country, Douglas requires a salary similar to what he gets at Barcelona. Douglas reportedly earns €125,000 per month, but this amount is considered high by Cruzeiro. However, there"s a possibility of investors assisting the club in the payment of wages. According to a source connected to Douglas, the intention is to fulfill his contract [which ends in August 2019] with the Spanish club. His preference is to stay in Catalonia, but accepts to talk with Cruzeiro. This weekend, it was reported in Spain that Cruzeiro would pay €2 million for 60% of the economic rights of the 25-year-old. Douglas" contract at Toca da Raposa II will be for five seasons, according to the publication. A deal has already been reached between the clubs, and Cruzeiro are now waiting for a positive response from the player.
