Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has insisted that he is happy at Liverpool, amid speculation linking him with moves to Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain. The Brazilian was part of Brazil’s Copa América squad, notching a hat trick against Haiti in the process.

He started all three of his country’s games in the competition and speculation has been rife about a possible departure, with PSG and Barca both said to be hovering. Neymar recently insisted that his compatriot would fit in nicely at the Nou Camp.

However, Coutinho played down the links, telling reporters, “I am grateful for everything Liverpool has done for me. Am I happy there working under Klopp? It’s clear, he’s great.” Brazil’s early exit is good news for Liverpool, meaning Coutinho can enjoy a full pre-season, whilst Roberto Firmino was entirely overlooked for selection.
