The future of national team coach Dunga should be decided by the Brazilian football federation on Tuesday.
A meeting on Tuesday in the headquarters of the organization to discuss the planning for the Olympic Games may be decisive. According to various sources in Brazil, the pressure for Dunga to be fired after the team’s early exit from the Copa América Centenario, is high. Corinthians coach Tite has emerged as the favorite to take charge, if Dunga is dismissed. Brazil have to present by Wednesday a list of 22 players and 12 members of the coaching committee, which cannot be replaced. Brazil FA president Marco Polo Del Nero has lost trust in Dunga and is dissatisfied with the coach following Brazil’s poor campaign in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and the failure in the Copa América Centenário. Among the people close to Del Nero, nobody is in favour of Dunga. As reported by Folha, Del Nero wants Corinthians coach Tite to replace Dunga. Tite is already considering the possibility of accepting the invitation, according to family and friends.
