Paulo Henrique Ganso is the latest player to be called up to Brazil’s Copa America squad. The Sao Paulo man earns his first call up since the 2012 Olympics. Ganso has been called up as cover for Kaka- himself a late replacement for Douglas Costa- as the 33-year old Orlando City playmaker has a hamstring problem.

Ganso played for Sao Paulo in a 1-0 defeat to Figuierense last night, picking up a booking. His call up to the Brazil squad was confirmed straight after the match and he will fly out to LA today to meet up with the rest of the squad. Gremio midfielder Walace has also been called up, as of yet, the identity of the player that he is replacing is not confirmed. But Miranda is believed to have limped out of training on Wednesday evening.

Ricardo Oliveira, Ederson, Douglas Costa and Rafinha had already pulled out due to injury since the initial 23 man squad was announced. Brazil kick off their Copa campaign with a game against Ecuador in Pasadena 3am UK time on Sunday.

Fabinho also spent Tuesday having treatment on a calf problem, but for now he remains in the squad. Brazil have until Friday evening to replace anymore injured players. Marcelo Grohe, Lucas Moura, Jonas and now Ganso are all late call ups.
