Barcelona’s Brazilian right-back Dani Alves will leave the club on June 3, according to reports from Spanish media.
According to the information from Cadena SER, the new destination of Dani Alves will be Italian side Juventus, with whom he’s expected to sign a three-year contract. The report adds that, although Dani Alves has a deal with Barcelona until 2017, the transaction will be of no cost for the Italian champions. Last year, dissatisfied and feeling neglected, Alves was seriously considering to leave Barcelona, but eventually renewed for two seasons, with an option for one more. However, a clause in the contract reportedly allows Alves to leave for free at the end of each year, and the player would want to make use of this option now.
According to the newspaper AS, Dani Alves announced his decision to Barcelona on Sunday after winning the King’s Cup at the Vicente Calderón. Alves’ agent Dinorah Santana told Mundo Deportivo that the player does not have any agreement with Juventus, and that he wants to stay at Barça.
