Among Gabigol, Ricardo Oliveira and Lucas Lima, the negotiations for the playmaker"s sale should bring more controversy at Santos in the middle of this year, when the transfer window opens.
Santos president Modesto Rome has warned that he wants to keep Lucas Lima until the end of his contract in December 2017. If that were not enough, the only condition the club accepts to sell the player rather complicates the lives of interested parties. UOL Esporte found that Santos want a fixed value for the 10% of the economic rights they own. The information was confirmed by Lucas" agent Wagner Ribeiro. For the the agent, it will be easier to negotiate Gabigol, who"s another player tipped to leave this summer. Wagner Ribeiro said: “They [Santos] don"t want to sell, he has until the end of 2017, I believe Lucas will find it harder to quit than Gabigol. Because Santos has just 10%, for them it"s not interesting to sell Lucas. Santos wants to put a fixed value for their 10%. If Santos ask for €10 million, for example, for their part, then we would have sales of €110 million."
