Barcelona are set to end the speculation around Neymar by offering the Brazilian a bumper six year contract. The Seleção skipper has two years left on his current deal and has been stalling on a new deal this season, whilst he faced trial for tax evasion charges.

Neymar has been linked with moves to Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United, but looks set to stay with Barca- where he again won La Liga scoring 24 league goals this season. Barca have recently signed a gargantuan deal with kit suppliers Nike and they will use it to finance a salary hike for the forward.

The deal will raise his buyout clause above its current €190m rate and the club are hopeful that the deal will be signed in advance of this Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Europa League winners Sevilla.

Barca are also haggling with shirt sponsors Qatar Airways in order to fund new deals for existing players, with Sergio Busquets also thought to be on the verge of signing a new deal.
