The 22-year-old has reportedly caught the attention of Pep Guardiola, while former Inter Milan goalkeeper Júlio César would’ve recommended the youngster to the Italians.
A starter for Benfica in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, Brazilian goalkeeper Éderson may not stay for a long time with the Portuguese side. According to the information from Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Éderson interests Manchester City and Inter Milan for the upcoming transfer window, and the teams would’ve already contacted Benfica’s board over a potential move. Éderson was a reserve goalkeeper at Benfica, but started to get regular playing time following an injury to his compatriot Júlio César. Inter Milan asked for information from their former keeper, who spoke highly of Éderson and recommended him to the Nerazzurri. Pep Guardiola, who takes charge at Manchester City from next season, has also been impressed with Éderson’s performances this season, which also earned him a spot in Dunga’s squad for the Copa América Centenário.
