Juventus would’ve already identified the player they intends to sign as a replacement for striker Álvaro Morata, who is rumoured to return to Real Madrid in the summer.
The Turin club want to bring Palmeiras youngster Gabriel Jesus to fill possible absence of the Spanish striker. According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have sent a €15 million proposal to Palmeiras for the young sensation. Compared to former Brazilian striker Fenômeno Ronaldo in Europe, Gabriel Jesus has also received enquiries from other clubs. The Italian publication adds that Juventus want to ensure the signing of Gabriel Jesus to overcome competition from Manchester United and Inter Milan, who are also closely observing the development of the player. The signing of Gabriel would be a special request of coach Massimiliano Allegri, who was impressed with the teenager’s qualities.
As mentioned by Brazilian journalist Paulo Vinícius Coelho, Palmeiras affirms that the club haven’t received any official offers for the 19-year-old. Palmeiras own just 30% of his economic rights, so they’ll release the player only if a club pays his €40 million release clause in full.
