The president of Corinthians, Roberto de Andrade, affirms that the club haven’t received an official proposal for defender Felipe.
According to the information from Brazilian journalist Paulo Vinícius Coelho, there is a real interest from Porto, confirmed by agents linked to two different companies. The Portuguese side were willing to pay a fee in the region of €8 million, but the intention of Corinthians is not to sell. However, Corinthians need the money, as they own 100% of the player’s economic rights, and Felipe can go. Porto can pay the amount desired by The Brazilian club in the coming days.
Meanwhile, journalist Jorge Nicola has reported that a deal was practically sealed on Tuesday after Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade met Felipe. The player will continue at Corinthians until the opening of the international transfer window on 1 July.
Felipe caught the eyes of European clubs after an excellent season with Corinthians last year, and came close to being sold to AS Monaco in the January transfer window.
