Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian winger Marlos has been attracting the interest of some big European clubs following his performances this season.
According to the journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan sent scouts to watch the former São Paulo player in action. Representatives of the Italian club would have gone to Spain to observe the Brazilian during Shakhtar’s UEFA Europa League semifinal against Sevilla on Thursday. The journalist adds that Marlos has the profile desired by Inter coach Roberto Mancini to strengthen the team next season. Marlos is a left-footed attacker, who can operate in both flanks. Shakhtar have a reputation of demanding high transfer fees to release their key players, and this could be a problem for the Italians. Last week, there were reports from Ukraine that German team Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing the 27-year-old for a fee around €15 million. Marlos arrived in Ukraine four years ago when he was bought by Metalist Kharkiv from São Paulo. He joined Shakhtar in 2014, and has been one of the highlights of the team led by Mircea Lucescu this season.
