The Brazilian national team will face Colombia on September 6 in Manaus, at the Arena da Amazônia in the eighth round of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The information was confirmed by the Brazilian Football Confederation. Before the fixture against Colombia, Brazil will face Ecuador in Quito, at a date and time to be set by the Ecuadorian Federation. Brazil will be coming into the games in September with nine points, and sitting sixth in the CONMEBOL standings. Before the qualifiers, the group led by Dunga has two other commitments. Brazil will take part in the Copa América Centenário at the United States this June, and then the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this August. Coach Dunga recently defended himself from the criticism he’s received following the team’s performances and results in the previous rounds of the qualifiers.
