In addition to the arrival of players suggested by coach Edgardo Bauza, the contract renewal of playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso is a “number one priority" for the Morumbi side.
Currently, Ganso receives €74,000 per- month, and São Paulo offered to increase the wages to around €100,000 but it was rejected by the 26-year-old"s agent, Giuseppe Dioguardi. The person who takes care of the matter is director of football Luiz Antônio da Cunha, who spoke to the Globo Esporte in the hotel where the delegation is staying in Mexico, ahead of the Libertadores fixture against Toluca. The official showed optimism; the renewal of the player"s contract which ends in September 2017 is possible. He said: “Ganso, it"s a primary issue for the club. I"m taking care of it myself. Usually, the one who work on this issue is Gustavo [Vieira de Oliveira, executive director of the club]), but as I have an old and very good relationship with Pepinho [Giuseppe Dioguardi], I took the case."
He added: “We have several cases of number one priorities. Calleri is a number one priority, Maicon is a number one priority and Ganso is also a priority number one. Out of the three, the case of Ganso is the easiest to be solved."
