Internacional defeated Juventude [1-0] in the first leg of the Campeonato Gaúcho final on Sunday.
Internacional"s Brazilian national team goalkeeper Álisson will present himself at Rome on July 1, but the 23-year-old wants to enjoy every moment with the club of his heart. If Álisson is called up to the final 23-man Brazil squad to take part in June"s Copa América Centenário, then he can say goodbye at the end of the Campeonato Gaúcho. So, the goalkeeper wants to lift the title next Sunday, and almost teared up during his press-conference. Álisson said: “I try to think of what I have at hand. There"s a call-up for the Copa America, but the focus is on the present. Campeonato Gaúcho? The meaning [of this title] is larger than the other [competitions] I"ve competed. Perhaps, this will be the last competition I"ll play for Inter, the club that gave me everything. Maybe it"s a big farewell. Or rather a ‘see you later." I don"t know the future, but my attitude doesn"t change. It will be the same while I am here at Inter. We are very focused. I will be very happy to lift that cup."
He added: I tried my best and I am aware of that. I will always give all at Inter, regardless of whether the cycle is near the end. Inter is the club of my heart. Inter gave me everything. It is part of my training and my character. It"s been 14 years here, more than half of my life."
