Central defender Maicon has become a priority for Brazilian side São Paulo in the upcoming transfer window.
São Paulo are negotiating with Porto to keep central defender Maicon at the club, as on loan from the Portuguese side until June 30. But São Paulo are facing an obstacle to progress in the talks, because Porto have asked for youngsters Inácio and Lyanco in return. São Paulo have agreed to give away Inácio, but refuses to include Lyanco in the negotiations. Therefore, the Brazilian side have proposed to give Inácio and Lucão to Porto to close the deal. São Paulo president Leco told UOL Esporte: “We are putting all our intelligence and our effort into it. Porto want Inácio, and we want Porto to take Inácio and Lucão. And now they want Lyanco, but we don’t want to give him. It’s a complicated plot, delicate, you run the risk of putting everything away in a misplaced word. But fundamentally, Maicon wants to stay.”
Lyanco was considered non-negotiable in these conditions because São Paulo sees the 19-year-old as one of the players with a very high potential in the market.
