The president of Santos, Modesto Roma Júnior, has ruled out the possibility of selling left-back Zeca to Europe.
In recent days, the 21-year-old received a proposal from an Italian team, but Santos decided to reject it. The interest from Italy came after the indication of former Dutch national team player and currently unemployed coach, Clarence Seedorf. With good connections in Italy, Seedorf is acting as an intermediary for the company OTB Sports that takes care of Zeca’s career. Modesto made it clear that neither the club or the player had interest in the proposal, and said: “There was a proposal, I said no, and Zeca said no. When neither of them want, he stays!”
Zeca is a regular member of the team’s starting XI, and his main objective at the moment is to make Brazil’s squad for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this August.
