Fresh doubts are emerging over the future of Chelsea midfielder Oscar. The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Juventus many times since moving to England in 2012. However, speculation has gathered that incoming manager Antonio Conte is not a fan and Oscar pulled out of Saturday’s defeat to Manchester City through illness.

Oscar was meant to be a substitute, but told Hiidink he was too unwell to play and drove home from Stamford Bridge hours before kickoff. It is thought that new boss Conte has already met with the players and insisted on full commitment from his players. Oscar’s decision to leave the stadium is unlikely to impress the renowned disciplinarian.

Interim boss Hiidink affirmed that the current squad are now effectively playing for the new manager, “They will make their analysis and deal with the current management. They analyse and see the games as well. Not being in Europe, it will give the new management and directors a chance to build a good team competing for a top four place.”
