Pointed out by several analysts as the best right-back at the moment in Brazil, Corinthians’ Fágner excites Spanish giants Barcelona and is touted as possible substitute for Dani Alves.
The information was released by the reporter Mauro Naves of TV Globo, but he admitted that Dani Alves wouldn’t go out so early from the Catalan team. He denied any deal, but stated that Fágner is one of the best in his position today and, therefore, he’s being observed by Barcelona. He said: “He’s heading to Barcelona, who are looking for a reserve option for Dani Alves. He is being looked as a substitute for Dani Alves, but Alves is not going to end anytime soon. It’s not a lie, it’s an information. Barcelona are observing full-backs from across the world, and someone who is attracting attention today is Fágner.”
Fágner has a contract with Corinthians until 2018 and is an important part of Tite’s scheme. Daniel Alves, on the other hand, has an agreement with Barcelona until June 2017.
