Inter Milan and Seleção defender João Miranda says that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi would find life much more difficult in the Italian Serie A. The Madrid and Barcelona forwards continue to shatter goalscoring records in La Liga, laying claim to becoming remembered as the best footballers of all time.

However, Miranda, who played in La Liga with Atlético Madrid, thinks life in Italy’s Serie A would prove more difficult for the pair. "They are both fantastic players and would score a lot of goals in every league," Miranda told GloboEsporte.

“However, here in Italy, they would not arrive in front of the net as often as they do in Spain because teams are a lot more organised tactically." The Brazil defender also says that he does not see Atleti boss Diego Simeone, one of the most sought after coaches in Europe, moving anytime soon.

""I can only see him as the Atletico coach," he added, “He is happy in Madrid and I think he will stay there for a long time to come. Just as Atletico though, we have a great coach [Roberto Mancini] at Inter as well."
