Marlos Moreno getting away from Santos as a European side signals they will pay €8 million in summer
One of the major highlights of Atlético Nacional, the only team with 100% success in this year's Copa Libertadores, young attacker Marlos Moreno, is getting increasingly distant from Santos.
Santos president Modesto Roma recently met with the representative of the Colombian side in São Paulo, and directly expressed their interest in signing the 19-year-old revelation, who has three goals in this season's Libertadores. The idea of the fish was to spend approximately €2.7 million for 50% economic rights of the player, and allowing Atlético Nacional to keep a part of the rights, so that they could also profit in future negotiations. However, Marlos Moreno already draws the attention of European clubs, which complicates Santos' hopes of sealing a deal. A Santos representative who went to Colombia recently was informed that FC Porto and Liverpool are also closely monitoring the attacker. According to Lance!, one of the interested clubs have signaled that they can pay €8m and take the youngster in the middle of the year. Atlético Nacional director Victor Marulanda said that the club will wait until the end of the Libertadores to analyze proposals and define the future of the player, who made his debut for the Colombian national team recently.
