Giuseppe Dioguardi, the agent of Paulo Henrique Ganso, will resume talks for the player"s contract renewal after the Easter holiday.
Ganso has a contract until September 2017, but the Brazilian side wants to extend the current bond. To renew, according to Globo Esporte, Ganso will take into account the salary offered, the contract length, the release- clause [currently €25 million] and a share in a future sale. In the current bond, Ganso wouldn"t be entitled to any percentage in case of a sale. Talks about the release-clause in the event of proposals is important to Ganso because the player intends to work in Europe in the future. Club and player began the negotiations approximately two months ago, at a period when Chinese side Hebei Zhongji showed interest. Ganso currently earns €75,000 per-month, but the argument is that the player never had a salary increase since the arrival from Santos in 2012. According to Dioguardi, there was no denial of any value offered to Ganso. São Paulo says that there are agreements and disagreements during negotiations, and according to club director Luiz Antônio da Cunha, the number 10 did not accept the first offer, but both sides want a deal.
At São Paulo since 2012, Ganso has attracted interest from Napoli, Al-Ittihad, Orlando City and Flamengo. All clubs were willing to offer him more wages than what he was earning at São Paulo. However, club president Leco likes the playmaker and do not want to sell him. All these points will be placed on the agenda in talks to renew the player"s contract, whose economic rights are split between DIS [68%] and São Paulo [32%].
