In Neymar, Willian, Douglas Costa and Lucas Lima, Brazil have several players who have already stood out with their game, both in the national team and also in their clubs.
They all are strong candidates to decide the game against Uruguay at the Arena Pernambuco on Friday, in the 5th round of CONMEBOL’S 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Despite the offensive power of Dunga’s team, Óscar Tabárez, coach of the Uruguayan national side, chose two players that he sees as the strongest in Brazil at the moment. For the coach, midfielders Fernandinho and Luiz Gustavo are very dangerous for the Seleção. He said: “Brazil are a good team. They defend well. The highlight, for me, are the two central midfielders. Luiz Gustavo and Fernandinho recover very well.”
During the training at Granja Comary, Dunga set his team up without a fixed number 9. Thus, Neymar would have more freedom to float in the attack, and Tabárez has praised the Barcelona star. He added: “Neymar is not a number 9, but he’s an attacker who can be everything. He has a lot of skill.”
