During the first training session at Granja Comary on Tuesday involving all 23 players called up for the World Cup qualifier against Uruguay, Dunga maintained the system which proved to be key in the 3-0 win over Peru in November.
Among the outfield players, the coach made two changes; Fernandinho was brought in for Elias who wasn’t called up due to an injury, while David Luiz, who served his suspension in the last game in 2015, returned in place of Gil. However, there’s no confirmation on who will be the starting goalkeeper. Álisson, a starter in the last three rounds of the qualifiers, is the strongest candidate to start, but Diego Alves and Marcelo Grohe, were also used in the first team during training. Even having only played two official matches since the victory over the Peruvians, Beijing Guoan’s Renato Augusto was impressive in training and was kept in the first team. Expected XI: Álisson; Daniel Alves, João Miranda, David Luiz, Filipe Luís; Luiz Gustavo, Fernandinho, Renato Augusto; Willian, Neymar, Douglas Costa.
