Chelsea’s Brazilian winger Willian is adamant that his side deserved to win a keenly fought London derby with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues trailed their London rivals twice, but equalised through a pair of Cesc Fabregas efforts.

‘I think we deserved to win,’ he told the Chelsea website. ‘We played well, especially in the second half. In that moment we played very well and they scored a second goal. We continued to play and we created so many chances to score more goals but we didn’t.

‘I think we fought until the end and we have to continue in that way in our remaining games. It is difficult when you don’t have chances to win the title, but we play for Chelsea, and we have to continue to play to the end.’

One of Fabregas’ goals was a free-kick. Willian has scored direct from free-kicks six times so far this season and he revealed that he and Fabregas had shared some tips on the training ground ahead of Saturday, “’We trained a little bit at the training ground. I am very happy because he scored two goals for us.’
