Santos playmaker Lucas Lima doesn"t hide his desire to go to a big European club during the international transfer window in the middle of the year.
The problem is that Santos, who holds just 10% of the economic rights of the player, have no intention to facilitate the release of the team"s best player. To convince Santos to accept a transfer, the midfielder ensures that the club “will come out winning" and asks gratitude for not taking the club to court in 2015, when there was a six month delay in payment of wages. He said: “I make it clear that I will only leave if there"s something good for Santos. They will come out winning and I don"t want to go out through the back door. I hope to leave in a good way. When there are proposals, I will sit with Santos."
He added: “In a difficult time of the club, I went to the president and regardless of proposals and all talks about going to court, I stayed. Santos have no interest [in selling] because they only own 10%, but I want to leave, everyone knows. We always hold gratitude. But in football this word is difficult. I"m calm."
