Cuca and directors of Palmeiras held a meeting with the squad before the first training session under the newly appointed manager.
On Monday, Palmeiras players trained for the first time under coach Cuca, who has signed a contract with the club until December this year. Before the start of activities, the coach met with the squad for a chat of just over 10 minutes. All players in the squad went to the pitch, including those who are injured, like Moisés and Luan. Members of the football management and coaching staff also participated in the conversation – includes Cuca"s assistants Cuquinha, performance analyst Eudes Pedro and physical trainer Omar Feitosa. The coach was accompanied by the director of football, Alexandre Mattos, and club president Paulo Nobre. Both left the place after the meeting.
Cuca is returning to Brazil after two years in China with Shandong Luneng. The coach was also in talks with Fluminense, but decided to end the negotiations after understanding that the Carioca side are dealing with two names [Levir Culpi] at the same time.
