Internacional will try to involve players in the negotiations to sign Colombian striker Téo Gutiérrez from Portuguese side Sporting.
As reported by Globo Esporte, Internacional have started talks with the Portuguese team and are preparing a list of names to be used in the deal, as this would allow them to reduce the amount to be paid. The idea is to pay around €2 million, in addition to a player. Réver, who has been linked with Jorge Jesus’ side previously, and other defenders are out of the question because Sporting, at the moment, don’t need players for this position. Inter awaits a response from Sporting on the position they needs to strengthen. The money from the sale of Rogério to Juventus and Álisson to Roma will help them raise funds to sign the former River Plate man. Who represents Inter in the business is Jorge Baidek, a former defender of rivals Grêmio. As a businessman, he was instrumental in the signing of Diego Forlán in 2012. Last Sunday, Baidek met with the board of the Internacional to outline the business strategy. Inter have until April 20 to complete the deal, as the date marks the closing of the international transfer window in Brazil.
