Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says he is not too worried about Neymar’s level of involvement with the Brazilian national team this summer just yet. Brazil will ideally want their talisman for both the Copa América and Olympic tournaments this summer and have a FIFA mandated right to call him for both tournaments.

However, Brazil are keen not to annoy Barcelona unduly and also to look after the player’s fitness. Dunga says he will meet with Luis Enrique imminently to discuss the matter, hinting that he would prefer to have his captain for the Olympic games in Rio.

Brazil have never won an Olympic gold and can select three players over the age of 23 in their squad, of which Neymar would be one if selected. When quizzed on the issue in his Friday press conference, the Barcelona coach insisted that a meeting would take place in good time.

“The meeting with Dunga has not yet occurred, we’ll talk today. I will me meet with him to see what is in our interest, not just thinking of Neymar, but also of Rafinha and Dani Alves. This is something that worries me little because we have a long time to resolve it, “said the coach.

“All parties want the maximum benefit for the aforementioned players, so let’s talk and enter into an agreement. We’ve decided our point,” concluded the Enrique.
