Replaced in the first half of the 5-0 thrashing of Resende on Sunday due to injuries, Flamengo duo Mancuello and Éverton underwent tests and the results were released by Flamengo on the afternoon of Monday.
Argentine midfielder Mancuello collided with an opponent 34 minutes into the opening period after receiving a pass from Emerson Sheik inside the area. Éverton, meanwhile, had discomfort and put his hand on the left thigh just before the half-time whistle, and the player who had came on to replace the Argentine, did not return to the pitch after the break. The 26-year-old Argentine had injuries during his days at previous club Independiente, in 2014 and 2015. He was suffering from problems on the right knee, hip and left foot. An official statement from Flamengo read: “The players Mancuello and Éverton underwent tests today, and Mancuello had a stretch in the lateral collateral ligament of the right knee. Éverton felt discomfort in his left thigh, and the examination detected a slight injury, without severity.”
