Brazilian superstar Neymar is planning to buy a mansion in Castelldefels, next to where his teammates Messi and Suárez live.
According to SPORT, it was home to former World Player of the Year, Ronaldinho, during his time at Barcelona. Neymar currently lives with his family in Pedralbes, one of the calmest districts of Barcelona. During Ronaldinho’s time at Barcelona, Castelldefels gained fame in media because the player used to receive friends and guests for parties in this mansion, which was one of the off the field reasons for his exit. The report states that the site was an indication of the Catalan club after signing him in 2013 to prevent the player from repeating Ronaldinho’s problems off the field. However, the board would have realized that Neymar has a quieter life than the former number 10 and would not be against a change to Castelldefels now.
The newspaper also sees Neymar’s decision as a further indication that his contract will be renewed. Messi chose Castelldefels after the suggestion of Ronaldinho, who was a close friend when he began his career at Barça. In 2014, Suárez also decided to live in the city and bought a €3 million mansion near Messi’s home.
