Robinho has been training at Cidade do Galo but the new signing will make his debut only on Wednesday in the Copa Libertadores.
There was a possibility of Robinho debuting for Atlético Mineiro on Sunday against Boa Esporte in the Campeonato Mineiro. However, after evaluation of the technical committee, the attacker will spend the weekend training and will play for the first time for the club on the 24th of February, against Ecuadorian side Independiente Del Valle in the second game of the Copa Libertadores Group-5. The confirmation was made by Diego Aguirre himself; the coach revealed that Robinho is already able to play on Sunday, but the decision was made to give a few more days for the player to prepare. Aguirre said: “Robinho’s debut will surely be next Wednesday. He is training well, but needs a few more days to get more rhythm. So, it will surely be Wednesday.”
