Considered to be one of the biggest talents at Atlético Mineiro, young defender Jesiel has been loaned out to Brazilian second division side Bragantino.
The decision was made jointly by the management and technical committee of Atlético Mineiro. Jesiel, who turns 22 next month, reached the professional squad under previous coach Levir Culpi but his debut only came this year in the Primeira Liga when Atlético were defeated by Figueirense. Current coach Diego Aguirre believes that Jesiel need to gain more experience to be able to work in a great team. As Atlético have at least four defenders [Leonardo Silva, Erazo, Tiago and Edcarlos] above Jesiel in the team"s pecking order, the club"s decision was to loan out the player to a club where he will be able to get more playing time. Treated as one of the most promising players at the club, Jesiel will be assessed in the coming months at Bragantino to see if he is ready to take the next step at Atlético from 2017.
