Captain of the side that won 2-0 against rivals São Paulo on Sunday at the Arena Corinthians, central defender Felipe did not spare criticism for Argentine forward Jonathan Calleri after the game.
Felipe was on the receiving end of a stomp from Jonathan Calleri in the first half, and the Corinthians defender revealed provocations and insults from the striker after the full time whistle in the fourth round game of this year"s Campeonato Paulista. He said: “Calleri likes to provoke much, but he did very bad because I didn"t buy his provocation. He saw that we wouldn"t fall, and all the time he tried to take away the concentration. But he was who lost concentration. He called me dirty word. I understood a little, because Romero [Paraguayan striker] always tells us the words. But no, he did not take away my concentration. I told him to play the ball."
On Sunday, Corinthians and São Paulo met for the first time since Timão"s 6-1 rout last November in the Brazilian Championship.
