Currently on loan at Granada from Marseille, Brazilian defender Dória is struggling to adapt to the La Liga and has even recently lost his place in the starting XI.
Dória had a horrid time at France where he didn’t play a single game for the club after being bought from Botafogo, but the former São Paulo player has surprised everyone by revealing that he dreams of returning to Marseille. He told Canal+: “I’m very happy here in Granada. Everyone welcomed me. I’m adapting better and better to the differences between South American continent and the European continent. But I have to keep working to feel even more comfortable on the field. I really want to be successful in Europe.”
He added: “President Labrune often talk with my agent to say he follows my matches. I dream of returning to Marseille. It is a club that treated me well, all the people were nice to me. The fans, too. I want to return to Marseille and show that I deserve a second chance.”
When asked about Bielsa, he said: “I had more connection with other staff members but we had had a normal coach/player relationship. Bielsa told me what I needed to do in training and especially what I should not do. He’s very reserved, he provides guidance in training but will not stay after to discuss with you. He doesn’t try to be close to the players, this is his way of working.”
