Rather good at the beginning of the season, former Cruzeiro midfielder Lucas Silva has seen his level slowly decline.
Lucas was recently cut off from Marseille’s UEFA Europa League roster, and now beIN Sports are reporting that the Brazilian has been removed from the club’s squad, with the French league championship still going on. Marseille wanted the player to leave during the winter transfer window, just six months after his arrival on loan from Real Madrid. Anderlecht, Marseille and Real Madrid were in agreement that the 22-year-old will go on loan to Belgium, but the midfielder preferred to work to win back the heart of the fans, as well as a place in the starting XI.
Marseille president Vincent Labrune might not have liked the attitude of the player, and L’Équipe report that Lucas was asked to get out of the Marseille team-bus before their trip for the game against Montpellier, with his teammates looking stunned.
