Brazilian-born Italian striker Éder, left Sampdoria and has signed a contract with Inter Milan until 2020.
Éder is the second-highest goal scorer in Serie A this season with 12 goals, tied with Juventus’ Argentine revelation Dybala, and nine goals behind Napoli striker Higuaín. Éder is 29 years old and scored on his debut for the Italian national team in March 2015. He was called up for seven more matches to form a strike partnership with Graziano Pellè and is expected to start during the European Championships in June. English club Leicester City also had a bid accepted for the player, but he decided to move to San Siro. He told Inter’s website: “I’m delighted to be here. I’ve worked hard for years to play for a big club like Inter.”
Éder will be the fifth Brazilian born player at Inter Milan, as he joins defenders Juan Jesus and João Miranda, left-back Alex Telles, and midfielder Felipe Melo.
