Alexandre Pato’s transfer hasn’t even been officially announced by Chelsea, but there is already speculation about the future of the striker after the six month loan period in London. According to Italian newspaper La Stampa, AC Milan are considering to give Pato a “second chance”and can make a proposal to try to sign him in the middle of the year. There would be an agreement between Chelsea and Corinthians to make the deal permanent for a fee around €12 million, but Chelsea are under the risk of being punished by FIFA over their deal for Burkina Faso striker Bertrand Traoré in 2011. If punished, Roman Abramovich’s team would be banned from making new signings for a certain period, and this situation could allow Milan to pounce. The interest of the Italian team may vary depending on the performance of Pato in England.
