Brazilian legend Ronaldinho Gaucho says that he is not ready to retire yet, but does not plan to look for another club until the conclusion of Carinvale in February. The 35 year old has been without a club since his contract with Fluminense was terminated after less than 3 months back in September. He did turn out for Flu in the recent Florida Cup for commercial reasons.

The ex Ballon D’Or winner has refuted suggestions that he is ready to retire, claiming that he still wants to sign a contract with a club in 2016. However, he plans to continue his promotional work and enjoy Carnivale before returning to the fray.

“There is a lots to come in 2016," he told reporters. "I’ll decide what to do next after carnival. For now, I plan to travel the world to promote football but now is not the time to stop. I will play for a little longer.

"It felt good to feel the affection of the fans [in USA]. It made me very happy. Now I have to get on with my life and do my best to repay what they have given me."

Ronaldinho’s disastrous spell at Fluminense was proceeded by an uninspiring time in Mexico, where his contract was also cut short by mutual consent. It is thought that he will try to move to a club in the UAE or Qatar in order to bring the curtain down on a glittering career.
