Brazilian attacker Wellington Nem is close to completing a long awaited return to Fluminense from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk where he had a number of injuries and played very little games.
Shakhtar Donetsk have decided who they wish to take from Fluminense in an exchange deal which will see Wellington Nem return to Brazil. The two clubs clashed last Sunday during the Florida Cup in Orlando, and maintain advanced conversations to resolve the situation and settle the deal by the end of the week. Fluminense had sent Shakhtar a list of four players; Marcos Júnior, Danielzinho, Douglas and Osvaldo. Shakhtar coach Lucescu, who wasn"t pleased with Osvaldo [28], especially due to his age, decided to pick 23-year-old Marcos Júnior. There are still some details to be discussed, like the value for the one-year loan of both players. Wellington Nem has already agreed to reduce his salary to return to Fluminense and has made it clear to the coaching staff of Shakhtar that he doesn"t intend to continue in Ukraine.
