Renato Augusto, formerly of Bayer Leverkusen, has accepted the proposal he received from Beijing Guoan, and will earn a monthly salary of around €540,000 in China. The player now awaits an agreement between the two clubs to complete the transfer. According to Globo Esporte, Corinthians were informed that an official €8 million bid from Beijing Guoan should reach them soon, and the club will be entitled to 50% of the value. Renato Augusto, who was the best player of the last Brazilian Championship, has an on going contract until the end of 2016, but can sign a pre-contract with any other team from the middle of the season and leave for free.
The player, who had agreed to go to Schalke, couldn’t reach an agreement over wages after requesting €8m per-season, and has now agreed to join Beijing Guoan for €6.5m per-year. Tianjin Songjiang from China have already signed Jádson from Corinthians, and midfielder Elias has an offer from Héběi Zhōngjī.
