Brazilian legend and former World Player of the Year Ronaldinho Gaúcho, who’s currently a free-agent in the market, plans to continue playing for another four years, according to his agent and brother Roberto de Assis Moreira.
Ronaldinho terminated his contract with Fluminense last year, and is yet to make a decision on his future club. The 35-year-old left Fluminense after asking the club to release him, and played just nine games for them without scoring or assisting a goal. However, Ronaldinho will represent Fluminense in the Florida Cup this month, a friendly competition in the United States and part of the club’s pre-season tour, but will be free to sign with any team after that. Assis was quoted in Sky Sports: “Asia or the United States are more likely. But he has had more than one offer from England. My brother is a competitor. He loves to win; that is what people do not realise about him. And he still wants to play. He has never had serious injuries and his body is in perfect condition. I think he has three or four years left to him, maybe more.”
