Cruzeiro supporters wouldn"t really be regretting the departure of Leandro Damião but the vacancy left by the attacker is a concern for the club"s board, as they search a substitute for next season.
According to the information from Globo Esporte, the two players in the minds of the club are Benfica attacker Anderson Talisca, the former Bahia man, and Sampdoria"s Brazilian born striker Éder. In Portugal, Anderson Talisca has had very good phases and earned himself a Brazilian national team call up. The player has lost ground in the Portuguese club, and has participated in just 15 games [nine as a starter] in the on going season. Éder, who opted to play for Italy at international level, has already registered 11 goals in 17 games in the 2015/16 Serie A season. Cruzeiro were behind Rafael Sóbis who was runner up with Mexican club Tigres in the Copa Libertadores, but the high request of the former Internacional striker ruled out the possibility of any negotiations.
