Cuca prioritizes solving family matters before defining his professional future. He was quoted in Globo Esporte: “I have some family priorities in life. If it"s true [Mano Menezes to Shandong], then I"ll talk [with Brazilian clubs]. Today I"m an employee of Shandong Luneng. Today I cannot talk about another club and I haven"t received any proposal, from São Paulo or Palmeiras, or anyone. It"s all lies."
Cuca"s agent Eduardo Uram said: “Now let"s address the situation of Cuca in China and then we will think about what he will do. I had no contact with anyone from São Paulo and with no other team in Brazil."
