Vasconcellos reaffirms Sampaoli has deal with Flamengo if he wins elections, even though the coach completely deny
The coach of the Chilean national team, Jorge Sampaoli has completely denied he has an agreement with the Chapa Verde group led by Wallim Vasconcellos to become Flamengo's next coach, if he wins the upcoming elections.
When asked about the subject during an interview with a Chilean radio, the coach said that it have political intentions. Gelson Baresi, a representative of Jorge Sampaoli, had also confirmed the coach's agreement with Vasconcellos. But Sampaoli denies it all; he says: "This about Flamengo can only be of political intention. I do not know this man, I have no representative, he does not represent me at all. I always took care alone. Talks that I have something signed seems shameful, has no truth in it. It is impossible for me to have an agreement."
However, Vasconcellos reaffirms a deal; he was quoted in UOL Esporte: "It's obvious that Sampaoli will deny publicly. He will only be able to confirm that on 7 or 8 December, after the voting. He is denying because he is under contract with the Chilean federation. All we did was according to his agent. If we win, we have Sampaoli at Flamengo, yes."
