The Brasileirão title generates celebration and euphoria at Corinthians, but also some concern, and they know that it will be difficult to keep some of the key players for next season.
The club"s board has publicly admitted the possibility of losing players to Europe in early 2016, but states that they will do everything to minimize the damage in the upcoming transfer window. First choice defenders Gil and Felipe, and forward Malcom are some of the players heavily linked with a move away from the club. Ralf has a contract until December, while the contracts of top-scorers Jádson and Vágner Love runs out in the middle of next year. Club"s football manager Edu Gaspar said: “The idea is to try to keep as much of the squad, because, with the technical level they"ve all achieved, it will be difficult [to keep them all]. So far we have no proposals. We know where we want to strengthen the squad, and we are already in contact and negotiations for next year to be even better."
Club president Roberto de Andrade said: “If I can, I will keep 100% of the squad, but sometimes it is impossible. The idea is that everyone stays."
